Since 1891, the main objective of the Società Canottieri Garda has been to spread the practice of sailing, swimming and rowing sports on Lake Garda and beyond; commitment recognised by the C.O.N.I. with the awarding of the Collare d'Oro al Merito Sportivo, the highest honour in Italian sport.
