Venezia – Compagnia della Vela

Established in 1911 in Venice as the Yacht Club Veneziano, it took its current name of Compagnia della Vela in 1919, following a message that D'Annunzio wrote to the then Vice-President of the Club, Giovanni Giuriati, whose initials correspond to the Poet's motto 'Custodi, Domine, Vigilantes'.
